J. Cat Beauty Lip Swatches

Here's another fun little video I did at work swatching some of the J. Cat Beauty lipsticks! This brand is cruelty free and these lipsticks are all matte but stay slightly creamy aaaaand stay put on your lips! When they do start to fade, it's natural and you don't look like a crazy person with smudgy, smeary lipstick. 

theBalm Mini Lippie Review

Sometimes, (okay, a lot of the time) I buy myself new clothes and shoes and makeup because I really enjoy those things too. I thought it would be neat to include a tiny post about what I get to do sometimes at work which is a lot of fun for me. (I mean, how could playing with lipstick at work not be fun?) Check out my review of theBalm's lipsticks! I love these lippies, 'fo real..not just saying it for work. They're super matte, smell like peppermint and I can eat all the greasy french fries I want and these HARDLY move. Like, sometimes they don't come off at all, amazing.

Hiiiiiii, I can't stop buying makeup

So I stopped in Sephora today to see what Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks they had, only because I've been lusting over "Potion" for far too long, and low and behold it was one of the like 5 colors they stocked! So of course I bought it. (Ahem, happy early birthday to me!)

I haven't physically put it on my lips yet but I swatched it on my hand and it has yet to come off, shower and all.

I also hit up Nordstrom Rack because I heard they had some goodies for reaaaal cheap. AKA there was nothing good at the one close to me. BUT, I did grab the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer because I've been wanting to try it for like EVER and it was like $9. So, yes.

Lime Crime and Gerard Cosmetics

I'm turning 25 in 4 days and I'm having a quarter life crisis. AKA I can't stop buying makeup. In the past week or two I grabbed something from Gerard Cosmetics super sale and I was dying to try one of the new Lime Crime Perlees. Honestly, when I first saw all the colors there wasn't one that jumped out at me right away. I finally settled on "Asphalt" and I am SO glad I did.

It's, no lie, the same exact color that I just painted my walk in closet! It's long-wearing, matte, didn't dry my lips out and is a super unique color. They came out with "Lady" right after I bought this and I think I need that one too.

My new Gerard Cosmetics eyeliner is here also! Except I literally just got it when I walked into my house at 11:30 PM so I haven't had a chance to use it. I hope it lives up to all its hype!

 

and then I scooped these weird, strange, had-to-have-them lips MASKS! My lips are 24/7 EXTREMELY DRY from all the matte lipstick I wear so I really can't wait to try these. I also have a huge girl crush on Hanna Beth and preordered her new book, Covered in Glitter, a few weeks ago and that got here today too. To say I finished it in a half hour is not an exaggeration. It was an amazing read and made me respect her ten thousand times more than I already did. I would say 99.9% of my style has evolved and transformed from following Hanna for the last 8ish years. She is definitely my number one style icon!

Next weeks' my birthday and  all I asked for was lipstick and champagne! Let's see how that goes!
